The “Phones for Heroes” appeal has been set up with the aim of supporting the charity Help for Heroes.


In the UK millions of unwanted mobile phones lie forgotten and unused in drawers, desks etc. We hope through the Phones for Heroes appeal to encourage people to dig out these unwanted phones and donate them.

Funds will be generated by collecting donated mobile phones and refurbishing and reselling them where possible. For every reusable and recycled phone Help for Heroes will receive 60% of any proceeds after allowing for collection, delivery and ancillary expenses. The funds generated by the appeal will go directly to Help for Heroes to aid the tremendous work being done to provide practical, direct support to our servicemen and women injured in the service of their country.

By donating your unwanted mobile phone you will not only be helping heroes but also the environment. The Phones for Heroes appeal plans to reuse as many mobile phones as possible in developing countries all over the world. Reuse of products is an essential part of the recycling process. Any mobile phones which are not reusable will be recycled in the most environmentally friendly way. Even the postal bags used to collect the phones are recyclable!
